UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI ALAT PERAGA BLOK PECAHAN SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika melalui alat peraga blok pecahan di kelas V SD N Balangan 1 Minggir Sleman Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Subjek penelitian ini 31 siswa kelas V tahun ajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah prestasi belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar siswa melalui tes pada pada pre test persentasenya adalah 64,51%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 87,10%, dan menjadi 96,77%pada siklus II dan mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan. Begitu juga dengan aktivitas siswa, pada siklus I persentase skornya adalah 70,45% meningkat menjadi 88,63% pada siklus II dan mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan.

Abstract

This research aims to increase mathematics achievement through blok pecahan on fifth grade students. The kind of the research was classroom action research. Subject of this research was 31 students of fifth grade in the academic year 2015/2016. Object of this research was student achievement. The methods used in collecting data were tests and observation. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The result of this research showed that student achievement through tests on the pre test percentage was 64,51%, in the first cycle increased to 87,10% and to 96,77% in the second cycle and achieved the  success criteria specified. As well as the activity of the students, in the first cycle the percentage score was 70,45% increased to 88,63% in the second cycle  and achieved the success critera specified.
