HUBUNGAN INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN GADGET DAN INTENSITAS POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DENGAN KARAKTER PEDULI SOSIAL SISWA KELAS 5 SD NEGERI SE-KELURAHAN SUMBERAGUNG, MOYUDAN

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) Hubungan intensitas penggunaan gadget dengan karakter peduli sosial siswa; 2) Hubungan intensitas pola asuh orang tua dengan karakter peduli sosial siswa; 3) Hubungan intensitas penggunaan gadget dan intensitas pola asuh orang tua secara bersama dengan karakter peduli sosial siswa kelas 5 SD. Jenis penelitian berdasarkan pendekatan kuantitatif yaitu penelitian ex-post facto dengan tipe korelasional kausal. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas isi dengan teknik expert judgement dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik koefisien korelasi sederhana dan berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) intensitas penggunaan gadget berhubungan positif dengan karakter peduli sosial dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,549 yang berkategori; 2) intensitas pola asuh orang tua berhubungan positif dengan karakter peduli sosial dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,493 yang berkategori cukup; 3) intensitas penggunaan gadget dan intensitas pola asuh orang tua berhubungan positif dan simultan dengan karakter peduli sosial siswa, dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,588 yang berkategori kuat. Variabel penggunaan gadget dan variabel pola asuh orang tua secara bersama- sama memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 34,7% terhadap karakter peduli sosial siswa.

Abstract
This research was conducted to know: 1) the correlation between the intensity of the use of gadgets and the character of students' social care; 2) The correlation between the intensity of parenting style and students' social caring character; 3) The correlation between the intensity of the use of gadgets and parenting styles together with the social care characters of grade 5 elementary school students. This type of research is based on a quantitative approach, namely ex-post facto research with causal correlation type. In this study, the researcher used content validation with expert judgment techniques for instrument validity testing and Cronbach's Alpha formula for reliability testing. The data analysis technique used in this study were simple and multiple correlation coefficient techniques. The results showed that: 1) the intensity of the use of gadgets is positively related to the character of social care, as evidenced by the correlation coefficient value of 0.555 which is categorized as strong; 2) the intensity of parenting style is positively related to the character of social care, as evidenced by the correlation coefficient value of 0.481 which is categorized sufficient; 3) the intensity of the use of gadgets and the intensity of parenting styles positively and simultaneously related with students' social care character, as evidenced by the correlation coefficient value of 0.589 which is categorized as strong. The variables of the use of gadget and parenting style together gave an effective contribution of 34.7% to the students' social care character.
