PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN DESKRIPSI MELALUI MEDIA MIND MAP PADA SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil dan proses pembelajaran menulis karangan dan hasil keterampilan menulis karangan pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tukangan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tukangan Yogyakarta yang memiliki 20 siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus yaitu siklus I dan II. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Metode data termasuk: observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, dan tes menulis karangan deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan keterampilan menulis karangan deskripsi siswa kelas V SD Negeri Tukangan mengalami peningkatan dari nilai rata- rata pra siklus sebesar 8 siswa tuntas atau sebesar 40% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 12 siswa atau sebesar 60%. Pada siklus I sebesar 5% yaitu 11 siswa tuntas atau sebesar 55% dan siswa yang belum tuntas 9 siswa atau sebesar 45%. Pelaksanaan siklus II juga mengalami peningkatan 30% yaitu 15 siswa tuntas atau sebesar 75% dan siswa yang belum tuntas ada 5 siswa atau sebesar 25%. Penelitian ini dihentikan sampai siklus II karena sudah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan yaitu 75% jumlah siswa sudah mencapai nilai KKM.

Abstract
This study aims to improve the process of learning essay writing and the results of essay writing in grade V SD Negeri Tukangan. The research subjects were the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tukangan Yogyakarta, totaling 20 students.This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection methods include: observation, interviews, documentation, field notes, and descriptive writing tests. The results showed that there was an increase in the writing skills of descriptive essays of the fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tukangan, an increase from the pre- cycle average score of 8 students completed or by 40% and 12 students who had not completed it or by 60%. In the first cycle of 5%, 11 students completed or by 55% and 9 students who had not completed it or 45%. The implementation of cycle II also experienced an increase of 30%, namely 15 students completed or by 75% and 5 students who had not completed it or by 25%. This research was stopped until cycle II because it met the success criteria, namely 75% of the total students had reached the KKM score.
