Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi budaya baca di SDN Golo Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini juga berusaha mengungkap dan mendeskripsikan pemahaman warga sekolah mengenai budaya baca dan kendala implementasinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, karyawan dan siswa SDN Golo Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis interaktif Miles and Hubberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk implementasi budaya baca di SDN Golo Yogyakarta yaitu 15 menit membaca sebelum KBM, jam wajib kunjung perpustakaan, perpustakaan keliling, dan sudut baca kelas. Faktor pendukung implementasi budaya baca di SDN Golo Yogyakarta yaitu tersedianya fasilitas membaca yang memadai. Kendala implementasi budaya baca di SDN Golo Yogyakarta adalah siswa masih perlu diingatkan untuk membaca, beberapa siswa membuat keributan disaat pelaksanaan program, ada guru terlambat datang saat program 15 menit membaca sebelum KBM, pengelolaan sudut baca di beberapa kelas kurang tertib.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of reading culture in Golo state elementary school yogyakarta. This research also seeks to uncover and describe the understanding of school citizens regarding reading culture and the  inhibiting factors affecting the implementing. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were the principal,  teachers,  employee and  students of Golo state elementary school yogyakarta. The methods used in data collection are observation, interview ,and documentation. Data were analyzed using the interactive analysis technique of Miles and Hubberman. The form of reading culture implementation at Golo state elementary school yogyakarta are 15 minutes of reading before lesson, mandatory visiting hours of the library, mobile library, and class reading corner. The availability of reading facilities and the concern of school residents regarding the importance of reading are factors that support the implementation of a reading culture at Golo Yogyakarta Elementary School. The inhibiting factors affecting  the implementing a reading culture at Golo state elementary school yogyakarta  are some stdents still need to be reminded to read, some stdents making noise during program, some teachers are late for 15 minutes reading before lesson , bad management of reading corner in some classes.
