Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media Big Book berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan uji lapangan. Jenis penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada prosedur pengembangan Borg dan Gall. Langkah penelitian ini yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan data, perencanaan, pengembangan draf produk, uji coba lapangan awal, merevisi hasil uji coba, uji coba lapangan, penyempurnaan produk hasil uji lapangan, uji pelaksanaan lapangan dan penyempurnaan produk akhir. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I SD Negeri Adisucipto 2. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Analisis data yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi oleh ahli materi memperoleh skor akhir 4,33 kategori sangat baik. Hasil validasi ahli media memperoleh skor akhir 4,23 kategori sangat baik. Hasil uji coba kelompok besar memperoleh skor 4,49 kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, Media Big Book Tema Diriku Subtema Tubuhku dikategorikan sangat baik digunakan untuk membantu pemahaman membaca permulaan di SD Negeri Adisucipto 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a media based on expert judgment and field testing. The research development method that referred by Borg and Gall. The research steps were: research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision, operational field testing and final product revision. The subject of the research was first grade students from Adisucipto 2 Elementary School. The instrument that used was questionnaire. The data analysis was quantitative descriptive. The result of the research shows that validation by content expert get the final score 4,33 with the category is very proper. The result of the research shows that validation by media expert get the final score 4,23 with the category is very proper. The result of operational field testing get the score 4,49 with very proper categorized. Based on the result of “Media Big Book Tema Diriku Subtema Tubuhku” is very proper categorized to help beginning reading in Adisucipto 2 Elementary School.
