PENINGKATAN MINAT BELAJAR DAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan minat belajar dan (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif IPA menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 03 Kaliboto Karanganyar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 14 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, skala, dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model TGT dalam muatan IPA dapat meningkatkan minat belajar dan hasil belajar kognitif IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 03 Kaliboto Karanganyar. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian siklus I diketahui persentase minat belajar siswa sebesar 84,82% dan rerata hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebesar 74,29. Hasil penelitian siklus II menunjukkan persentase minat belajar siswa sebesar 87,05% dan rerata hasil belajar kognitif siswa mencapai 79,05. Hasil dari siklus II telah memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan penelitian yaitu rata-rata persentase minat belajar siswa ≥76% dan rerata hasil belajar kognitif siswa mencapai KKM yaitu >76.

Abstract
This research aims at (1) improving the student’s science learning interest and (2) improving cognitive learning outcome through Teams Games Tournament types of cooperative learning model in 4th grade students at 03 Kaliboto Elementary School Karanganyar. The type of this research was classroom action research. The subjects were 14 students. The data collection technique used observation, scale, and test. The data analysis technique were quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The result of the research shows that TGT learning implementation can improve student’s learning interest and cognitive learning outcome in science of 4th grade in 03 Kaliboto elementary school. Based on result in the first cycle is known that the students’s learning interest percentage is 84,82% and the students’s cognitive science learning outcome is 74,29. The result in second cycle is students’s learning interest percentage is 87,05% and the students’s cognitive science learning outcome reach 79,05. The result of second cycle have complete the research succeed category that the average of students’s learning interest percentage >76% and the students’s cognitive learning outcome reach the minimum succeed category (>76).
