UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATERI KELILING DAN LUAS BANGUN DATAR DENGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF JIGSAW PADA KELAS IV SD N SAWIT

Abstrak

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar pada pembelajaran bermuatan matematika melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw pada siswa kelas IV SD N Sawit. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Desain PTK menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan, refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dan tes uraian. Data kuantitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan penyajian tabel dan presentase. Subjek penelitian pada siswa kelas IV SD Sendangsari Kabupaten Bantul dengan jumlah siswa 29 siswa, 15 siswa laki – laki dan 14 siswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar siswa. Pada kondisi awal nilai rata-rata 53,74 dan setelah dillaksanakan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw pada siklus I nilai rata-rata menjadi 80,03 yang artinya terjadi peningkatan sebesar 26,29. Tahapan model pembelajaran kooperatif jigsaw yaitu (1) membentuk kelompok asal, (2) mengamati subtopik, (3) diskusi kelompok asal, (4) membentuk kelompok ahli, (5) diskusi kelompok ahli, (6) kembali ke kelompok asal, (7) mengintegrasikan subtopik, (8) presentasi. (9) mengerjakan tes. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan berupa arahan tegas supaya semua kelompok mengumpulkan lembar kerja siswa dan tidak mencantumkan nama siswa yang tidak ikut diskusi. Maka setiap kelompok membagi tugas secara merata. Hasil akhir didapat prestasi belajar siswa meningkat pada siklus II. Perolehan rata – rata nilai prestasi belajar pada siklus II yaitu 90,23 dengan peningkatan 10,20.

Abstract

This research aims to improve learning achievement in mathematics-charged learning through the application of jigsaw cooperative learning models to grade IV SD N Sawit students of 4th grade students of Sawit Elementary School. The research type was classroom action research (CAR). The design used a model by Kemmis and McTaggart which included planning, action, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used scale, observation, and description tests. Quantitative data were analyzied descriptively by presentation of tables and percentages.. The research subjects were the 4th grade students of Sawit Elementary School, in total of 29 students (15 male students and 14 female students). The results of the research showed that the application of a cooperative jigsaw learning model can increased learning achievement. It indicated by the increasing average of student learning achievement. In the initial condition was 53,74 and after implementation of learning with a cooperative jigsaw learning model, in the first cycle the average became 80,03, which meant an increase of 26,29. The stages of jigsaw learning models were (1) make original groups, (2) observe subtopics, (3) original group discussion, (4) make expert group, (5) expert group discussion, (6) back to original group, (7) integrate subtopics, (8) presentation, (9) evaluation test. After the teacher made improvements with the directions that were ensured for all groups that did not collect student worksheets and does not include the names of students who did not take part in the discussion, each group collected all assignments. The average of learning achievement in the second cycle was 90,23 with an increase of 10,20.
