IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN SISWA SD BAKALAN KECAMATAN SEWON KABUPATEN BANTUL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa SD Bakalan yang sudah mendapatkan piagam Adiwiyata tingkat provinsil dan menuju Adiwiyata tingkat nasional. Penelitiaan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif. Subjek utama dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dan guru. Sedangkan sumber data pendukung dalam penelitian ini untuk memperkuat hasil penelitian meliputi dua siswa kelas IV, dua siswa kelas V, dan dua siswa kelas VI. Objek penelitian ini berupa peduli lingkungan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan siswa dapat dijabarkan dalam empat aspek yaitu: (1) tindakan yang selalu berupaya mencegah kerusakan lingkungan, (2) tindakan yang selalu berupaya mengembangkan upaya-upaya untuk memperbaiki kerusakan alam yang terjadi, (3) strategi implementasi karakter peduli lingkungan melalui program pengembangan diri, dan (4) strategi implementasi karakter peduli lingkungan melalui budaya sekolah. Seluruh warga sekolah ikut serta dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli lingkungan.

Abstract
This study aims to describe the form of implementation of character care education in the environment at Bakalan Elementary School, which has received the provincial level Adiwiyata charter and towards the national level Adiwiyata.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The main subjects in this study were principals and teachers. While the supporting data sources in this study to strengthen the results of the study included two fourth grade students, two five grade students, and two six grade students. The object of this research is environmental care. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Testing the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation.Based on the results of the study, the implementation of character education on the environment of students can be described in four aspects, namely; (1) actions that always strive to prevent environmental damage, (2) actions that always strive to develop efforts to repair natural damage that occur, (3) strategies the implementation of the character of environmental care through self-development programs, and (4) the strategy of implementing the character of environmental care through school culture. All school members participate in the implementation of environmental care character education.
