Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru kelas dalam menangani perilaku bullying pada siswa kelas III SDIT Al-Khairaat Kota Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi guru kelas, siswa sebagai pelaku bullying, korban bullying, dan penonton bullying. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara mendalam, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengujian keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, peran guru kelas dalam menangani bullying, yaitu; (1) sebagai mediator dan fasilitator yaitu dengan cara penumbuhan hubungan yang positif, mendorong tingkah laku sosial yang baik, dan mengupayakan sumber belajar; (2) sebagai pembimbing melalui pemberian penjelasan dan tindakan saat terjadi bullying; (3) sebagai penasihat melalui pemberian saran; (4) hasil penanganan guru kelas terhadap perilaku bullying menunjukkan hasil yang positif.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the teacher roles in the classroom when dealing with students’ bullying behaviour in SDIT Al-Khairaat Yogyakarta, especially in class III. This research used a descriptive-qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were classroom teacher, student as perpetrator, victim, and bystander of bullying. This research used data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field note. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion as a data analysis technique. Eventually, the data were validate using source and technique triangulation. Based on the results of the research, the role of classroom teacher in dealing with bullying behaviour, namely; (1) the role of classroom teacher as a mediator and facilitator was carried out by developing positive relationships between actor and victim; encourage good social behaviour; and seek learning resources about bullying behaviour;(2) the role of classroom teacher as a mentor by giving explanations and actions such as sign of trouble when bullying occurred; (3) the role of classroom teacher as an advisor by giving advice; (4) the results of dealing with bullying behaviour showed positive results.
