Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap keaktifan belajar IPS siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperimental, jenis Nonequivalent Control Group Desain. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa Kelas IIIA sebagai kelas kontrol (20 siswa) dan kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen (22 siswa). Obyek penelitian yaitu keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi serta lembar angket keaktifan belajar. Validitas instrumen dilakukan melalui expert judgement dan validitas isi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan t-test sample independent. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Teams Games Tournament (TGT) terhadap keaktifan belajar IPS siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah Bayan Kabupaten Purworejo. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji-t thitung = -2,197 < thitung = 2,021 nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,034 lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 5% (0,034 < 0,05).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model on the participation in learning social sciences of grade III students of elementary school. This study is a Quasi Experimental. Using Nonequivalent Control Group Design, this study examines 20 students in class IIIA of SD Muhammadiyah Bayan as the subjects of control and 22 students in class IIIB as the main experiment subjects. The object of this study is the students’ participation in social sciences learning process. The data is collected through observations and questionnaires on students’ learning participation. The instrument is validated through content validation and expert judgment. The data is analyzed using descriptive analysis and independent sample t-test. The finding of the study shows that there is an effect of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) cooperative learning model to the participation in learning social sciences of grade III students at SD Muhammadiyah Bayan Purworejo. This is shown by the result of tcount test = -2,197 < ttable = 2,021 and the significance value is 0,034 which was lower than 5% significance standard (0,034 < 0,05).
