PARTISIPASI ORANG TUA SISWA DI KELAS III C SD NEGERI REJOWINANGUN 1 YOGYAKARTA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai partisipasi orang tua siswa di kelas III C SD Negeri Rejowinangun 1. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Bentuk-bentuk partisipasi orang tua siswa dalam partisipasi moril meliputi menyumbangkan ide, memonitoring siswa, mendiskusikan permasalahan pendidikan anak, dan menghadiri berbagai kegiatan di sekolah. (2) Bentuk-bentuk partisipasi finansial yaitu iuran kas rutin dan kegiatan, donatur, dan sponsor. (3) Bentuk-bentuk partisipasi sarana/prasarana yaitu bantuan material pendidikan dan transportasi untuk kegiatan lomba. (4) Bentuk-bentuk partisipasi tenaga/keahlian yakni menjadi pembicara, memberikan pelayanan tertentu bekerja sama dengan mitra lain, dan kontribusi tenaga. (5) Faktor pendorong partisipasi orang tua siswa berupa motivasi dan minat orang tua untuk berpartisipasi dalam pendidikan, adanya keuntungan atau harapan kepuasan dari partisipasi, adanya wadah partisipasi berupa forum paguyuban dan sikap guru, sedangkan faktor penghambatnya berupa kondisi ekonomi, perbedaan jam kerja dan kesibukan orang tua siswa, serta masalah internal antara orang tua siswa terkait keuangan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the participation of parents in class III C of Rejowinangun Public Elementary School of Yogyakarta. This research used descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection techniques used in this study were observations, interviews, and documentations. The data analysis techniques were adopted from Miles & Huberman’s interactive model which consist of data collection, data condensation, data displays, and conclusion. The validity test was run through source and technique triangulations. The results indicate that (1) Forms of moral participation were: contributing ideas, monitoring students, discussing the problems of children's education, and attending activities at school.(2) Forms of financial participation were: cash contributions, donors, and sponsors. (3) Forms of facilities participations were: educational materials and transportation for competition activities. (4) Forms of expertise participation were: being a speaker, providing certain services in collaboration with other partners, and labor contributions. (5) The supporting components in the parental participation were: motivation and interest of parents to participate in education, benefits from participation, class committee and teacher attitudes, while the inhibiting factors were: economic conditions, working hours and busyness of parents of students, and internal problems between parents.
