PENANAMAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN DAN TANGGUNG JAWAB MELALUI EKSTRAKURIKULER KARAWITAN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penanaman karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab melalui ekstrakurikuler karawitan di SD N Grogol Kabupaten Bantul. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, guru karawitan, siswa kelas III, IV, dan V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik.Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles & Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penanaman karakter disiplin melalui ekstrakurikuler karawitan dilakukan dengan penjelasan aturan, pemberian nasehat, pembiasaan, hukuman, dan penghargaan. (2) Penanaman karakter tanggung jawab melalui ekstrakurikuler karawitan dilakukan dengan pemberian pemahaman, pemberian nasehat. keteladanan, dan pembiasaan. (3) Faktor pendukung berupa kesadaran dan motivasi siswa, dukungan orang tua, serta tersedianya dana, sarana dan prasarana yang memadahi. (4) Faktor penghambat yaitu siswa tidak fokus pada saat ekstrakurikuler berlangsung.

Abstract
This research is aim at describing the inculculation of discipline and responsiblility characters through extracurricular activity which is traditional Javanese music at SD N Grogol. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The subject of this research included principle, traditional Javanese music teacher, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. The data gathering technique that used were interview, observation and documentation. The data validity test used source and technique triangulation. Data analysis technique used Miles & Huberman that includes data gathering, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawing. The result shows that the inculculation of (1) discipline characters through playing traditional Javanese music is done by explaininhg rules, giving advices, habituation, punishments, and appreciations. (2) Responsibility characters through playing traditional Javanese music is done by giving understanding, advices, exemplarity, and habituation. (3) The supporting factors are the student’s conscious and motivation, the availability of fund, facility, and infrastructure. (4) The inhibitor factor are not focused students when the extracurricular activity is running.
