IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER MEMBATIK DI SDN MENDIRO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler membatik dan mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang tertanam melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler membatik di SD Negeri Mendiro. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian dideskripsikan dalam dua ranah: pertama, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi; kedua, nilai yang tertanam. (a) Perencanaan dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, penetapan visi/misi/tujuan sekolah yang sesuai, pembuatan kurikulum yang memuat tujuan pendidikan karakter, dan pembuatan jadwal kegiatan. (b) Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter, dapat ditinjau dari proses membatik, maupun sikap guru dan peserta didik selama mengikuti kegiatan. Pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui keteladanan, arahan/teguran, pengkondisian, serta menggunakan metode mengajar yang sesuai. (c) Evaluasi dilakukan dari segi proses dan produk, meskipun belum melihat efek dari pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter. Nilai-nilai yang tertanam dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler membatik di SDN Mendiro, meliputi nilai religius, jujur, kreatif, mandiri, cinta tanah air, bersahabat/komunikatif, peduli sosial, sabar, teliti, berjiwa wirausaha, dan kerja sama. Nilai-nilai yang tertanam memuat komponen moral knowing, moral feeling, dan moral action.

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to describe the implementation of characters education through batik extracurricular activities and to reveal the values which were inculcated through batik extracurricular activities in public elementary school of Mendiro. This research used case study approach which is one of the types of qualitative approach. The data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentations. The data were then analysed by using Miles & Huberman’s interactive model that consisted of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion (drawing/verifying). The validity of the data was tested by using the triangulation of techniques and sources. The research results were described by following these two domains: first, plan, application, evaluation; second, the inculcated values. (a) Characters education planning through batik extracurricular by analysing the needs potentials, establisment of school’s vision, mission, and objective that appropriated, making the curriculum load the cause of characters education, and making the schedule of activities. (b) The implementation of the characters education through batik extracurricular activities could be reviewed on the process of making batik, and the attitude of students and teachers. The implementation of the characters education was doing by exemplary, and direction/reprof, conditioning, and a method of teaching appropriate. (c) The evaluation was done by the process and products, although it was not seen any effect of the characters education. The values inculcated were religiosity, honesty, creativity, autonomy, nationalism, friendliness/communicativeness, social caring character, patience, accuracy, entrepreneurship, and cooperativeness. The values inculcated were contain components moral knowing, moal feeling, and moral action.
