Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter peduli sosial melalui budaya sekolah di SD Negeri Surokarsan 2 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter peduli sosial melaui budaya sekolah dilakukan melalui (1) kegiatan rutin harian, kegiatan rutin mingguan, kegiatan rutin bulanan, dan kegiatan rutin tahunan; (2) kegiatan spontan menegur, menasihati, memberlakukan sanksi siswa yang tidak mencerminkan peduli sosial, memberi penghargaan siswa yang mencerminkan peduli sosial, menjenguk warga sekolah yang sakit, dan membantu korban bencana alam; (3) keteladanan guru berupa contoh langsung sikap dan perilaku yang mencerminkan peduli sosial; (4) pengondisian fisik dan pengondisian non fisik.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the implementation of social character education through school culture in SD Negeri Surokarsan 2 Yogyakarta. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The study subjects were headmaster, teachers, and students. The data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The data were validated by using triangulation both technique and sources. The technique of data analysis were reduction, display, and data conclusion. The result of this study show that implementation of social care character through (1) daily routine activities, weekly routine, monthly routine, and annual routine activities; (2) spontaneous activities to admonish, advise, giving sanction to students that lack social concern, reward students who reflect social concerns, visit sick school residents, and helping victims of natural disaster; (3) a teacher’s role model can be shown in direct actions and activities that shows social care; (4) physical conditioning and non-physical conditioning.
