PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENCERITAKAN KEMBALI FABEL MELALUI PAIRED-STORYTELLING BERBANTUAN BONEKA TANGAN KELAS II-A

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menceritakan kembali cerita fabel melalui teknik paired storytelling berbantuan media boneka tangan pada siswa kelas II A SD Negeri Panggang. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Objek penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan proses dan hasil yang diperoleh dari penerapan teknik paired storytelling dan media boneka tangan terhadap keterampilan menceritakan kembali cerita fabel. Metode pengumpulan data adalah observasi dan tes unjuk kerja. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Penerapan teknik paired storytelling berbantuan media boneka tangan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menceritakan kembali cerita fabel siswa kelas II A SD Negeri Panggang. Hal itu terbukti pada prasiklus presentase keberhasilan siswa yang termasuk kategori berkembang sesuai harapan sebesar 31,82%, meningkat menjadi 45,45% pada siklus I, dan meningkat menjadi 86,36% pada siklus II. Peningkatan aktivitas siswa dapat dilihat dari presentase pada siklus I sebesar 58,82% kemudian meningkat menjadi 85,23% pada siklus II.

Abstract
This study aimed to improve the skill of fable retelling through paired storytelling technique assisted by hand puppets on the students of class II A Panggang State Elementary School. The type of this research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research object was the process implementation and the research results were obtained from the implementation of paired storytelling technique and the utilization of hand puppets on the students’ skill of fable storytelling. The methods to collect the data were observation and performance test. The technique of data analysis were descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis. The implementation of paired storytelling technique assisted by hand puppets can be improved the skill of fable retelling on the student of class II A Panggang State Elementary School. It was proven on the percentage pre-cycle of students success who was included in the developing category of 31,82%, on the cycle I it was improving into the 45,45% and 86,36% on the cycle II. The improvement of student activity was showed of the percentage of student activity on the cycle I was 58,82%, then improved to 85,23% on the cycle II.
