PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL DAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS MENGGUNAKAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar IPS melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match pada siswa kelas V SDN IV Playen Gunungkidul.Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SDN IV Playen Gunungkidul yang berjumlah 13 siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Indikator keberhasilan penelitian ini adalah minimal persentase rerata keterampilan sosial siswa mencapai 76% kategori baik pada setiap dimensi dan  76% dari total keseluruhan siswa mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) ≥ 76. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan hasil belajar siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match yaitu peningkatan rerata keterampilan sosial dimensi peer relationship skills mencapai 73% (cukup) pada siklus I menjadi 89% (sangat baik) pada siklus II dan academic skills mencapai 68% (cukup) pada siklus I menjadi 83% (baik) pada siklus II. Persentase siswa yang tuntas KKM juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 75,54% pada siklus I, dan 84,62% pada siklus II.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the student’s social skills and social studies learning result through a type of cooperative learning model Make a Match in 5th grade students at SD Negeri IV Playen Gunungkidul. This type of this research was a Classroom Action Research, with 13 students of SDN IV Playen Gunungkidul as the subject of the research. The research design adapted from Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. This research was conducted in two cycles. The data were collected through observation and test. The technique of the research  were quantitative and qualitative description. The indicator of research success is the minimum percentage of the average social skills which reached 76% (good category) in every dimension and 76% from the total of students reached Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) more than 76. The result of this research shows that there is an improvement of social skills and social studies learning results after use the type of cooperative learning model make a match in which the improving of social skill dimension peer relationship skill that reach 73% (enough) in cycle I and improved to 89% (very good) in cycle II and academic skill which reached 68% (enough) in cycle I and improved to 83% (good) in cycle II. The percentage of students who passed KKM also improved from 75,54% in cycle I, and 84,62% in cycle II.
