PENERAPAN MODEL COOPERATIVE LEARNING TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PARTISIPASI (PARTICIPATION SKILLS) SISWA

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan partisipasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe think pair share pada pembelajaran PKn kelas IV SD Negeri Bumijo Tahun Ajaran 2017∕2018. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Bumijo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan triangulasi. Desain penelitian menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan partisipasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran PKn. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya keterampilan partisipasi siswa pada pembelajaran PKn pada kegiatan pra tindakan 76% siswa berada pada kategori kurang baik dengan ketuntasan siswa yang masuk dalam kategori cukup berjumlah 19 siswa, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi tingkat partisipasi kategori baik menjadi 56% dengan rincian 11 siswa berada dalam kategori cukup, 12 siswa dengan kategori baik, dan 2 siswa berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Penelitian ini berlanjut dengan modifikasi dalam tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan cooperative learning tipe think pair share dengan guru lebih dalam memonitoring kegiatan siswa pada tahap pair pada siklus II, hasilnya adalah keterampilan partisipasi semakin meningkat menjadi 88% ketuntasan dengan rincian 3 siswa berada pad kategori cukup, 11 siswa pada kaategori baik dan 11 siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the student participation skills through the implementation of Cooperative Learning Type Think Pair Share on Civic Education grade 4 of Bumijo Primary School academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research is 25 students of grade 4 Bumijo Primary School. The data collective technique here uses the observation sheets and field notes while the data analysis technique was triangulation. Then, Kemmis and Mc Taggart was used for the research design. The research was conducted in two cycles which result is the increase in student participation skills in Civic Education Learning. On the pre-action, there were 19 students which percentage is 76% who are categorized in below average. So, there were only 24% students who participate in the class. After the cycle I was conducted, the percentage of students who participate in class was increasing by 56%. It has as well resulted as 11 students were categorized adequate, 12 students were good, and 2 students were excellent. In cycle II, the conducting of Cooperative Learning Type Think Pair Share was modified by increasing the number of teachers in monitoring the learning activities. It results that the participation skills are more increased. The percentage of participating students were 88% where 3 students were categorized adequate, 11 students were good, and 11 students were excellent.
