KARAKTERISTIK SISWA SLOW LEARNER DI SDN SANGGRAHAN KULON PROGO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik siswa slow learner di SDN Sanggrahan, Kulonprogo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan subjek seorang siswa slow learner di kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik Hasil penelitian mengenai karakteristik siswa slow learner yaitu (1) intelegensi: siswa F memiliki tingkat kecerdasan yang kurang, sehingga nilai hasil belajar siswa F rendah; (2) bahasa: siswa F menunjukkan keterbatasan dalam bahasa reseptif dan ekspresif yang bersifat kompleks; (3) emosi: siswa F cepat marah dan sensitif, selain itu siswa F sering mengamuk; (4) sosial: siswa F dapat membaur dengan siswa lain, siswa F juga tidak malu bertanya pada orang asing; (5) moral: siswa F sering melanggar peraturan, ketika ditegur siswa F tidak merasa khawatir ataupun takut.

Abstract
This study aims at describing slow learner student’s characteristics in SDN Sanggrahan, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta.The type of this research was qualitative descriptive with case study’s approach with the subject a slow learner student in 4th grade. The technique of data collection used observation, interview, and documentation. The research instruments were observation sheets, guidelines interview, and recorder. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Validity test of the data in this study used triangulation technique and source. The result about slow learner student’s characteristics are: (1) intelligence: student F have a low level of intelligence, so the learning result of student F is low; (2) language: student F shows limitations in receptive and expressive language that are complex; (3) emotions: student F is furious and sensitive, student F often show a temper tantrums; (4) social: student F can mix with other student, student F is also not ashamed to ask strangers; (5) moral: student F often breaks the rules, when student F is reprimanded, student F is not worried or afraid.
