IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI SD N PLEBENGAN, BANTUL

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai karakter yang dikembangkan di SD N Plebengan, implementasi pendidikan karakter, dan langkah guru dalam membangun budaya kelas untuk mendidik karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, karyawan, dan siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan langkah-langkah: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber data dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai karakter yang dikembangkan ada 18. Implementasi pendidikan karakter dilaksanakan melalui proses pembelajaran, peraturan sekolah, pada pelaksanaan ekstrakurikuler, dan pada pelaksanaan bimbingan konseling. Ada 6 langkah guru dalam membangun budaya kelas untuk mendidik karakter siswa yaitu membuat kesepakatan awal, memberi contoh yang
konsisten dan tanggung jawab, mengawasi, mengontrol, membiasakan, dan tindak lanjut.

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to know the character value that be developed in SD N Plebengan, the implementation of character education, and the teacher’s steps to build class culture for educating student’s character. This research used a descriptive qualitative approachment. The subject of this research were headmaster, class teachers, staffs, and students. The data was collected by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis step used: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The validity used triangulation technique and source. The result of the research showed that the character value had been expanded were 18. The implementation of character education had been held through process of learning, school rules, extracurricular, and counseling guidance. There were 6 teacher’s steps to build
class culture for educating student’s characters. There were early agreement, gave consistant and responsible example, supervised, controlled, accustomed, and followed up.
