Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran membaca permulaan dan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan. Penelitian ini merupakan Tindakan Kelas kolaboratif menggunakan model penelitian dari Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Gembongan pada semester
genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Subjek penelitian yakni siswa kelas I yang terdiri dari 29 siswa. Objek penelitian yakni kemampuan membaca permulaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, catatan lapangan dan dokumentasi. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Data kualitatif dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media kartu kata bergambar dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran membaca permulaan dan
meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya persentase aktivitas siswa (awal 52,37%, siklus I 52,37% siklus II 71,23%), dan meningkatnya kemampuan membaca permulaan (awal siswa yang tuntas 17,24%, siklus I siswa yang tuntas 41,38% dan siklus siswa yang tuntas
82,75%).

Abstract

This research aimed to improve process of beginning reading, and improve beginning reading ability. This study was collaborative classroom using research model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. This study has implemented in State SDN Gembongan. The subjects were students of class one which were consisting of 29 students. The object was beginning reading ability. The techniques of collecting data did with observation, field note, and documentation. The quantitative data analyzed using quantitative description. Qualitative data
analyzed using qualitative description. The results of research showed that illustrated word card within beginning reading learning could improved learning process of beginning reading and also improved the beginning reading ability. This cas has evidenced with the rising of student activity (first 52,3%, cycle I 52,37% and cycle II 71,25%) and the rising of beginning reading ability (students who were successful, first 17,24%, cycle I 41,38%, and cycle II 82,75%).
