PENINGKATAN SIKAP PEDULI LINGKUNGAN MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA POP UP BERBASIS KARAKTER PADA SISWA KELAS IA SD MUHAMMADIYAH PEPE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan pada siswa kelas IA SD Muhammadiyah Pepe dengan menggunakan media pop up berbasis karakter. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IA. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Sikap peduli lingkungan siswa dapat meningkat melalui berbagai proses yaitu 1) pembelajaran memahami sikap peduli lingkungan dengan menggunakan media pop up berbasis karakter secara langsung dengan berkelompok, 2) terdapat aktivitas psikomotorik yang berdasar media pop up berbasis karakter, 3) pelaksanaan pembelajaran sesuai dengan langkah-langkah pembelajaran menggunakan media pop up berbasis karakter. Peningkatan sikap peduli lingkungan dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi dan angket. Hasil observasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan 76% siswa berkategori tinggi dari siklus I ke siklus II. Sedangkan, hasil angket menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 12% siswa.

Abstract
This study aims to improve the 1st A grade students’ environmental awareness through character based pop up media at SD Muhammadiyah Pepe. This study was collaborative classroom action research. The subjects of the research were grade IA that consisted of twenty five students. This research was conducted using Kemmis and Mc Taggart models. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The result of the research showed that the use of character based pop up media was able to improve 1st A grade students’ environmental awareness The improvement was reached through some processes i.e. 1) learning activities through character based pop up media in groups, 2) conducting psychomotor activities based on character based pop up media, 3) implementing steps by steps learning activities using character based pop up media. The observation and questionnaire result indicated the improvement. The observation result implied that the high categorized students improved by 76 %. Meanwhile, the questionnaire showed improvement by 12%.
