PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERITA PENDEK MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA POP UP UNTUK SISWA KELAS IV SD MUHAMMADIYAH SIDOKARTO GODEAN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek menggunakan media pop up siswa kelas IV SD Muhmmadiyah Sidokarto, Godean, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek
penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 20 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pop up dapat
meningkatkan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek. Proses peningkatan pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek dengan menggunakan media pop up yaitu: 1) siswa mempelajari materi unsur-unsur cerita pendek, 2) materi kebahasaan, 3) cara menyusun kerangka cerita pendek berdasarkan media pop up, dan
4) menulis cerita pendek menggunakan media pop up. Peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus I sebesar 19,7 dari nilai rata-rata prasiklus sebesar 59,9 menjadi 79,6. Sedangkan, peningkatan keterampilan menulis cerita pendek pada siklus II sebesar 25,85 dari nilai rata-rata prasiklus menjadi 85,75.

This research aims to improve the learning process and skills of short stories using the media pop up students in 4th grade elementary school Muhammadiyah Sidokarto Godean Sleman Yogyakarta. Type of research a class action. Developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The subject of this study is the student
class 4th grade elementary school of Muhammadiyah Sidokarto what amounted to 20 students. Menthods of collecting data in this study uses the best, observation, and documentation. Technical analysis of data used techniques of quantitative and qualitative. The research to show that the media pop up can improve the skills of writing short stories. The process of improving the learning to write a short story by using the media to pop up, namely: 1. Students learn the material elements of the story short, 2. the material language, 3. how to compose a short story based on media pop up, and 4. write short stories using the media pop up. An increase in skills writing short stories in cycles 1 to 19,7 of the average value 59,9 of pre cyclical becomes 79,6. An increase in skills writing short stories in the cycle 2 by 25,85 of the value of the flat rate of cycle 59,9 be 85,75.
