KORELASI ANTARA POLA ASUH ORANG TUA DENGAN KECERDASAN EMOSI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR KELAS V SEGUGUS 1 KECAMATAN PANJATAN KABUPATEN KULON PROGO

Kecerdasan emosi berpengaruh dalam menentukan keberhasilan seseorang. Kecerdasan emosi seorang anak dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara pola asuh orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosi siswa SD kelas V Segugus 1 Kecamatan Panjatan Kabupaten
Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian expost facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SD kelas V segugus 1 Kecamatan Panjatan Kabupaten Kulon Progo yang berjumlah 136 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Skala untuk mengumpulkan data pola asuh orang tua dan kecerdasan emosi. Uji validitas menggunakan penilaian ahli dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan teknik Alpha Cronbach. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan besar korelasi pola asuh orang tua dengan kecerdasan emosi adalah 84,5%. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan (1) terdapat korelasi negatif antara pola asuh otoriter dengan kecerdasan emosi siswa, dengan nilai t = -4,688 dan signifikansi 0,000. (2) terdapat korelasi negatif antara pola asuh permisif dengan kecerdasan emosi siswa, dengan nilai t = -2,824 dan signifikansi 0,003. (3) terdapat korelasi positif antara pola asuh autoritatif dengan kecerdasan emosi siswa, dengan nilai t = 16,636 dan signifikansi 0,000.

Abstract

Emotional intelligence influenced in determining the success of someone. A child emotional intelligence is influenced by parenting style. This research aimed to find out correlation between parenting style with emotional intelligence 5th grade of elementary school students cluster 1 Panjatan subdistrict, Kulon Progo district. This research used a quantitative approach to the type of research is
expost facto. Population in this research were all students in 5th grade of elementary school students cluster 1 Panjatan subdistrict, Kulon Progo district which amounts to 136 students. Data collection techniques used a scale to collect the data of parenting style and emotional intelligence. The validity test
to analyze the instrument used expert judgement and the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach technique. Data analysis techniques used regression analysis. The result of research showed great correlation of parenting style with emotional intelligence is 84,5%. The result of analysis regression showed that(1)
There is negative correlation between the authoritarian parenting with emotional intelligence of students, indicated by the value of t = -4,688, and the significance 0,000.(2) there is negative correlation between the permissive parenting with emotional intelligence of students, indicated by the value of t = -2,824, and the significance 0,003. (3)There is a positive correlation between authoritative parenting with emotional intelligence of students, indicated by the value of t = 16,636, and the significance 0,000.
