Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepercayaan diri siswa retardasi mental kelas IV SD Negeri Tirtohargo dalam mengikuti pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa retardasi mental kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2016 sampai bulan Mei 2017. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa retardasi mental memiliki keyakinan akan kemampuan sendiri meskipun kemampuannya di bawah rata-rata dan sulit berkonsentrasi. Mudah dipengaruhi, pasif, serta tidak mempunyai inisiatif belajar,. Selain itu ia juga tidak tuntas dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Tetapi siswa retardasi mental mampu menerima kritik dan saran serta mampu bertanggung jawab atas perbuatannya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe self efficacy of students mental retardation on fourth grade students in Tirtohargo Elementary School while following the lesson. This research used qualitative approach with the descriptive type. The subject of this research was student of mental retardation on the fourth grade elementary school. This research was done in November 2016 to May 2017. The data collection techniques used were observation and interview. The data analysis techniques used Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The validity of the data used triangulation technique and some sources. This research shows that student mental retardation has firm believe of his own skills although he had underaverage skills and hard concetrate. He was affected easily, passivem and doesn’t have learning initiative. Beside that, he can’t solve the problems completely but can accept the critics, suggestions, and responsible for what he did.
