PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR KONSEP BANGUN RUANG DENGAN MENERAPKAN TEORI VAN HIELE

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari penerapan teori Van Hiele terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar konsep bangun ruang siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 2 siklus dengan masing- masing siklus terdapat pertemuan dan test pada setiap akhir pertemuan siklus. Teori Van Hiele yang memiliki 5 fase yaitu fase informasi, fase orientasi, fase penjelasan, fase orientasi bebas dan fase integrasi diterapkan dalam pembelajaran materi bangun ruang. Data hasil penelitian dalam bentuk nilai yang diperoleh siswa saat mengerjakan test di akhir pertemuan dengan kriteria keberhasilan 70% dari jumlah siswa mencapai nilai KKM yang ditentukan oleh sekolah. Hasil siklus I terdapat 16 dari 26 siswa atau 61,5% yang mendapat nilai tuntas untuk siklus II tersapat 19 dari 26 siswa atau 73,1% yang mendapat nilai tuntas. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teori van hiele pada pembelajaran bangun ruang meningkatkan hasil belajar konsep siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Sedayu Bantul.

Abstract

This research aim at investigating the influence of applied Van Hiele theory towards the increasing of tudent’s learning result toward 3D concept of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Sedayu Bantul. The research used classroom action research. The research were done in two cycles and each cycles has two times meeting and a post test. All phases of Van Hiele were applied in learning 3D concept. Research result was aqquired from the post test after each cycle. The success criteria reached when 70% of students were succeeded the KKM score that was 70 points. The result from first cycle are 16 from totalling 26 students or 65,1%. While for the result from second cycle are 19 from totalling 26 students or 73,1%. It is concluded that the applied technique of Van Hiele theory in 3D concept learning the research the concept understanding of fifth grade students of SDN 1 Sedayu Bantul.
