PENGARUH THINK PAIR SHARE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS V SD

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh think pair share terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis materi geometri siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan yang berjumlah 77 siswa dengan pemilihan kelas yaitut kelas V.1 dan V.2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan membandingkan nilai rata-rata kedua kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil perolehan skor rata-rata kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis siswa di kelas eksperimen sebesar 17,96 dengan kategori sangat tinggi sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 16,19 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe think pair share terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah matematis materi geometri di kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan.

Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of think pair share on fifth grade student’s problem solving ability in mathematic of geometry material of SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan. The type of this research was a quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research were all students in the fifth grade of SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan that consisted of 77 students and the selection classes were V.1 and V.2. The technique of data collection used were test and observation sheet. The analysis test was descriptive statistics by comparing the mean of two classes. The research finding reveals that the average score of problem solving ability in experimental group who were thought using type think pair share is 17,96 with very high category while in control group is 16,19 with high category. Based on that statement, it can be conclude that there is positive effect of think pair share on fifth grade student’s problem solving ability in mathematics of geometry material in SD Muhammadiyah Mutihan.
