HUBUNGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN RASA INGIN TAHU DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar dan rasa ingin tahu dengan prestasi belajar IPS siswa kelas V SD se-Gugus Sendangadi, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 117 siswa yang diambil melalui teknik probability sampling dan random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 165 siswa. Teknik analisis data untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel menggunakan uji korelasi parsial, uji korelasi ganda, dan analisis regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan prestasi belajar IPS dengan sumbangan sebesar 15,63%; 2) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara rasa ingin tahu dengan prestasi belajar IPS dengan sumbangan sebesar 6,87%; 3) ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan rasa ingin tahu secara bersama-sama dengan prestasi belajar IPS dengan sumbangan sebesar 22,5%.

Abstract
This research aimed to determine the correlation of learning motivation and curiosity with the fifth grade student’s learning achievement on Social Studies at Elementary School of Sendangadi Cluster, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This research used quantitative approach in form of ex-post facto design. The samples of this research were 117 students who were taken into account from the population of 165 students by using probability sampling and random sampling technique. The data analyses to determine the correlation among variables were done by using three techniques namely: partial correlation test, multiple correlation test, and multiple regression analysis. The research results showed that: 1) learning motivation had significant correlation with learning achievement on Social Studies indicated by 15,63% of contribution value; 2) curiosity had significant correlation with learning achievement on Social Studies indicated by 6,87% of contribution value; 3) learning motivation and curiosity all together had significant correlation with learning achievement on Social Studies indicated by 22,5% of contribution value.
