HUBUNGAN RASA PERCAYA DIRI DENGAN MOTIVASI BERPRESTASI PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan rasa percaya diri dengan motivasi berprestasi pada mata pelajaran IPA siswa kelas V sekolah dasar se-gugus 5 Kecamatan Pengasih Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuatitatif dengan metode ex post facto. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 88 siswa yang diambil melalui rumus Slovin dan teknik proportional random sampling dari populasi sebanyak 113 siswa. Validitas instrumen menggunakan metode corrected item total correlation dan reliabilitasnya menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis korelasi product moment pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara rasa percaya diri dengan motivasi berprestasi, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,716. Besarnya nilai korelasi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tingkat hubungan antara variabel rasa percaya diri dengan motivasi berprestasi IPA termasuk dalam kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how much the correlation between self-confidence with science achievement motivation of 5th grade students in Cluster 5 Pengasih district, Kulon Progo. This research used quantitative approach with ex-post facto method. The sample of the this research were 88 students taken through Slovin formula and proportional random sampling technique from the population of 113 students. The validity of the instruments used corrected item total correlation method and the reliability used Alpha Cronbach formula. Data analysis techniques used correlation product moment pearson formula. The result of the research showed that there is positive and significant relationship between self-confidence with student’s achievement motivation, with the correlation value is 0,761. The correlation value showed that correlation level between self-confidence with student’s achievement motivation is in high category.
