PENANAMAN KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN PADA PROGRAM HIDROPONIK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan pada program hidroponik dan (2) mengetahui nilai-nilai karakter yang dihasilkan dari program hidroponik.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek admin sekolah, guru pendamping, dan siswa kelas IV dan V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penanaman karakter peduli lingkungan pada program hidroponik di SD Negeri Gedongkiwo dilakukan melalui tahap-tahap yang ada pada program hidroponik dan telah menghasilkan nilai-nilai karakter selain peduli lingkungan. Penanaman peduli lingkungan dilakukan melalui tahap persiapan, persemaian dan pembibitan, penanaman, pemeliharaan, dan pemanenan yang dilaksanakan secara sistematis. Adapun nilai-nilai karakter yang dihasilkan selain peduli lingkungan adalah disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab yang muncul pada setiap tahapan program hidroponik.

Abstract
This research aims (1) to describe the inculcation of environmental awareness characters through the hydroponic programme in SD Negeri Gedongkiwo and (2) to know the result of character values from the hydroponic programme.This research used descriptive qualitative approach and the subjects were school administrator, teachers, and also fourth and fifth graders. The data were collected by using observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis by usingreducting, displaying, and summarising the data. The data validity was tested by using source and technique triangulation. The results of this research show that the inculcation of environmental awareness characters through the hydroponic programme in SD Negeri Gedongkiwo can be seen by the stages of the hydroponic programme and the result of character values besides environmental awareness. The inculcation of environmental awareness characters are done through several steps: preparation, seedbeding and nursery, planting, maintaining, and harvesting are done by systematically. The result of character values besides environmental awareness are discipline, hard work, creativeness, independency, curiosity, social awareness, and responsibility.
