PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL ANAK DENGAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP KONSEP DIRI ANAK KELAS VI SD NEGERI SERAYU YOGYAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat komunikasi interpersonal anak dengan orang tua, tingkat konsep diri anak, dan apakah terdapat pengaruh komunikasi interpersonal anak dengan orang tua terhadap konsep diri anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan September 2016 di SD Negeri Serayu, Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri Serayu Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 95 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala dengan 4 alternatif jawaban. Uji validitas menggunakan judgement expert dan analisis butir instrumen, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach’s Alpha. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan variabel komunikasi interpersonal anak dengan orang tua terhadap konsep diri anak. Komunikasi interpersonal anak dengan orangtua termasuk dalam kategori sedang sebesar 68,4% dan konsep diri anak juga berada dalam kategori sedang sebesar 63,2%. Hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,539. Hal ini menunjukkan  bahwa komunikasi interpersonal anak dengan orang tua memberikan pengaruh 53,9% terhadap konsep diri anak. Selanjutnya sebesar 46,1% dipengaruhi faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Besarnya koefisien korelasi adalah 0,734 yang berarti korelasi variabel X dan Y tergolong kategori kuat.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the level of children and parents’s interpersonal communication, the level of children's self concept, and whether there is any influences between children and parents’s interpersonal communication to the children's self concept. This study was conducted in September 2016 in Serayu Elementary School, Yogyakarta. This study was a quantitative research. The population in this study were sixth grade Yogyakarta Serayu Elementary School student totaling 95 childrens. The technique of collecting data used a scale with four alternative answers. Validity test used judgement expert and instruments item analysis, while reliability used Cronbach’s Alpha. The technique of data analysis used simple linear regression analysis. The results show that there are influence of children and parents’s interpersonal communication to the children's self concept. The amount of children and parents’s interpersonal communication score was 68.4% that include in medium category and the children's self concept also in a medium category about 63.2%. The result of the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R Square) was 0.539. This suggests that children and parents’s interpersonal communication give influence about 53.9%  to the children's self concept. Then about 46.1% influenced by other factors that didn’t examine in this study. The magnitude of the correlation coefficient about 0.734, that means the correlation between X and Y variable was strong category.
