Abstract


Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan pembelajaran fisika model cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw dan pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari penguasaan materi, keterampilan sosial, dan sikap kerjasama peserta didik, serta mengetahui model yang lebih efektif diantara kedua model tersebut.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi eksperimentaldengan bentuk desain nonrandomized control group pre-test-post-test design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan untuk memilih dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian adalah cluster random sampling. Kelas eksperimen diberi pembelajaran model cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw dan kelas kontrol yang diberi pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 4 Magelang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa tes, angket, dan lembar observasi.Effect size dan General Linear Modelmixed design untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditinjau dari sikap kerjasama dan keterampilan sosial peserta didik, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran cooperative tipe Jigsaw dan pembelajaran konvensional, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan jika ditinjau dari penguasaan materi peserta didik. Model cooperative learning tipe Jigsaw lebih efektif dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional ditinjau dari sikap kerjasama dan keterampilan sosial peserta didik, namun tidak lebih efektif jika ditinjau dari penguasaan materi peserta didik.

Abstract

This research was aimed tofind out thelearning output difference andeffectiveness of cooperative learning Jigsaw by the consideration of student’s lesson attainment, social skills and cooperative attitude.Experimental research design that used in this research was quasi experimental design with nonrandomized control group pre-test-post-test design- type. This study was applied to students from two classes as a sample that chosen by cluster random sampling as its sampling technique. The first group (experimental group) was given through physics cooperative learning Jigsaw, and the second group is the group that given control of conventional physics learning. This effectiveness study was conducted at SMAN 4 Magelang. Instrument that used in this research is a test, questionnaire and observation sheet, that will be analyze by MANOVA, effect size, and General Linear Modelmixed design to test the hypothesis. Result shown that based on students’ social skill and cooperative attitude, there is a significance difference between experiment and control class. But, there is no significance difference oflesson attainmentbetween students in experiment and control class. Cooperative Jigsaw learning models are more effective compared with conventional model, by the consideration of student’s social skill and cooperative attitude, but ineffective based on students’ lesson attainment.
