EFFECT OF USE OF RECIPROCAL TEACHING MODEL ON PHYSICS LEARNING ON IMPROVING MOTIVATION AND LEARNING RESULT

Abstract


Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching dan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik, (2) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching lebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the nonequivalent control grup design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu RPP, LKPD, angket motivasi, soal tes, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan RPP, dan lembar validasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) adaperbedaan pengaruh peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching dengan model pembelajaran konvensional terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar, (2) peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran reciprocal teachinglebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional berdasarkan nilai Normalized Gain yaitu 0,14 dengan 0,07 dalam kategori rendah, dan (3) peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang mengikuti model pembelajaran reciprocal teachinglebih tinggi dibandingkan model pembelajaran konvensional berdasarkan nilai Normalized Gain yaitu 0,53 dengan 0,45 dalam kategori sedang. Kata kunci: model reciprocal teaching, motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar. Abstract The purpose of this research is (1) to know the difference of the effect reciprocal teaching model and the conventional learning model on the improvement of motivation and learning outcomes, (2) to know the improvement of learners' motivation which follows the learning model of reciprocal teaching is higher than the learning model conventional, and (3) to know the improvement of learners' learning outcomes that follow the reciprocal teaching learning model is higher than the conventional learning model This research is an experimental research with the nonequivalent control design group design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The research instrument used is RPP, LKPD, motivation questionnaire, test question, observation sheet of RPP implementation, and validation sheet. The result of the research shows that: (1) there is a difference of the effect of the students who follow the learning model of reciprocal teaching with the conventional learning model on the improvement of motivation and learning outcomes, (2) the improvement of learners' motivation which follows the learning model of reciprocal teaching is higher than the conventional learning model based on the Normalized Gain value of 0.14 with 0.07 in the low category, and (3) the improvement of learning outcomes of students following the reciprocal teaching learning model is higher than the conventional learning model based on the Normalized Gain value of 0.53 to 0.45 in medium category.
