APPLICATION OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING MODEL OF TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT TYPE WITH TALKING STICK STRATEGY TO INCREASE INTEREST AND ACHIVEMENT OF PHYSICS LEARNING OF STUDENT IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui langkah-langkah pembelajaran fisika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament dengan strategi talking stick yang efektif untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar fisika pada peserta didik SMA, (2) mengetahui besar peningkatan hasil belajar fisika ranah kognitif pada materi momentum dan impuls peserta didik SMA setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament dengan strategi talking stick, (3) mengetahui besar peningkatan minat peserta didik SMA dalam belajar fisika ranah kognitif pada materi momentum dan impuls setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament dengan strategi talking stick.Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik tes, angket, dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu soal tes, lembar angket, dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament dengan strategi talking stick dapat meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar fisika ranah kognitif pada peserta didik. Hal tersebutdibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan kegiatan belajar peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II. Peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar ranah kognitif peserta didik dari pretest ke posttest yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 67,65% dan siklus II sebesar 85,30%. Peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik dari minat awal ke minat akhir yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 7,23% dan siklus II sebesar 11,99%. Kata Kunci: Minat Belajar, Hasil Belajar, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams Games Tournament dengan Strategi Talking Stick. Abstract This study aims to: (1) know the steps of physics learning with cooperative learning model of teams games tournament type with effective talking stick strategy to increase the interest and the achivement of physics learning in high school students, (2) to know the increase of physics learning achievement in the cognitive domain on the momentum and impulse lesson of high school students after applying cooperative learning model of teams games tournament type with talking stick strategy, (3) to know the increase scale of high school student interest in physics learning of cognitive domain on the momentum and impulse lesson after applied cooperative learning model of teams games tournament type with a talking stick strategy.This research is a Classroom Action Research with Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. Data collection techniques used are test techniques, questionnaires, and observations. The research instruments used are test questions, questionnaires, and observation sheets. Data analysis techniques in this study using quantitative descriptive analysis.Based on the result of the research which is implemented through two cycles, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model of teams games tournament type with the talking stick strategy can increase the interest and the learning achivement of the physics of the cognitive domain in the learner. This is evidenced by the increased learning activities of students from cycle I to cycle II. Improved mastery of cognitive learning achievement of students from pretest to posttest that is in cycle I of 67,65% and cycle II equal to 85,30%. The Increased of student’s interest from initial interest to the final interest is in the first cycle of 7.23% and cycle II of 11.99%.
