DEVELOPING A SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATION LEARNING MODEL OF PHYSICS INSTRUCTIONAL SET TO IMPROVE THE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS’ MASTERY LEARNING AND SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS

Abstract


Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model pembelajaran Scientific Investigation yang layak digunakan untuk pokok bahasan Usaha dan Energi di kelas X SMA N 2 Bantul, (2) mengetahui peningkatan penguasaan materi peserta didik yang menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis Scientific Investigation, dan (3) mengetahui ketercapaian keterampilan peserta didik yang menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis Scientific Investigation. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan 4D Models (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa RPP, LKPD, dan instrumen penilaian. Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran dianalisis menggunakan simpangan baku ideal, Content Validity Index dan Percentage of Agreement. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan dengan mencari skor Normalized Gain dan Percentage Correction. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) perangkat pembelajaran fisika berbasis model pembelajaran Scientific Investigation layak digunakan untuk pokok bahasan Usaha dan Energi di kelas X SMA N 2 Bantul. (2) peningkatan rendah ( = 0,22) pada penguasaan materi peserta didik, (3) ketercapaian keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada pertemuan pertama 55,02% (kurang baik), pertemuan kedua 65,42% (cukup baik), pertemuan ketiga 68,96% (cukup baik). Kata kunci: scientific investigation, penguasaan materi, keterampilan proses sains Abstract This study aimed (1) to produce a scientific investigation learning model of physics instructional set suitable on the subject matter of work and energy in X MIPA 2, 2 Bantul High School, (2) to know the improvement of students’ mastery learning who follow physics learning based on Scientific Investigation learning model, and (3) to know the achievement of students’ science process skills who follow physics learning based on Scientific Investigation learning model,. This study was categorized as Research and Development (R & D) by four-D model namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The developed instructional set was in the form of a lesson plan, students’ worksheet, and assessment tool. The feasibility of instructional set analyzed by using ideal standard deviation, Content Validity Index, and Percentage of Agreement. Data analyzed by searching the normalized gain score, and percent correction score. The result of this research is (1) the Scientific Investigation learning model of physics instructional set suitable to improve the mastery learning and science process skills, (2) a low improvement ( = 0.22) of mastery learning, (3) the achievement of science process skills of the students in the first meeting was 55.02% and categorized as low, the second meeting 65.42% and categorized as pretty good, the third meeting 68.96% and categorized as pretty good.
