PROSES KREATIF PRODUKSI PEMENTASAN DRAMA “CALIGULA” OLEH KELOMPOK EKSTRAKURIKULER TEATER JUBAH MACAN DI SMA NEGERI 3 YOGYAKARTA

Abstract
This study aims to describe the creative process of Teater Jubah Macan in Senior
High School 3 Yogyakarta in producing the play Caligula. The description of the
creative process of staging a drama based on the four stages of the creative process of
the theatrical production, namely: (1) the stages of selection and interpretation of text,
(2) the stage of the pipeline, (3) the stage of staging, and (4) the stage of the
experience.
This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research are
members of Teater Jubah Macan in Senior High School 3 Yogyakarta. The research
focus on the creative process Teater Jubah Macan in producing the performances of
the great of drama Caligula, which viewed from various aspect in the creative process.
Data acquisition is done through observation, interviews, field notes, and
documentation. Data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative techniques. The
validity of the data obtained through the triangular data and triangular sources.
From the research that has been done, retrieved a description of the following
results. First, at this stage of the selection and interpretation of text, Teater Jubah
Macan obtained the manuscript from Taman Budaya Yogyakarta, in December 2015
the team director did some interpretations and editing this manuscript with the alumni
and teacher mentors. Editing of the manuscript is done over the exsercise. In January
2016, Caligula screenplay succesfully edited the dialog with some changes. Second,
at this stages of the implementation of the intial action, performed by Teater Jubah
Macan is to determine the direction of production and main director. After the two
were elected, followed by determining the actors through casting by ability and
casting to type so that twenty five actors was chosen. Third, at this stage Teater Jubah
Macan also formed a work team composed of the production team, the team director,
the artistic team, the tam non artistic, and stage crew. To support the implementation
of the staging, Teater Jubah Macan did the publications through a variety of media
partners like a radio, television, and newspaper. On stages performances, Teater
Jubah Macan concept decorating, clothing, makeup, and musical accompaniment that
lifts the Roman atmosphere. The whole concepts is rendered by Teater Jubah Macan.
Finally, nn the literary stages, filmed the audience gave positive comments toward
staging performed by Teater Jubah Macan.
