KEEFEKTIFAN PENGGUNAAN STORYBOARD TECHNIQUE DALAM MENULIS TEKS CERITA PENDEK PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI 3 TEMPEL, SLEMAN
Abstract
This research aims to prove: (1) the difference in the ability to write short
stories are significant among the students who follow learning using storyboard
technique with students who follow learning without using storyboard technique,
and (2) the effectiveness of the use of storyboard technique in writing short stories
in grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Tempel, Sleman.
This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experiment
method. The research design used was the Control Group Pretest Posttest Design.
The variable in this study there are two free variables, namely in the form of
storyboarding technique and bound variables, namely the ability to write short
stories. The population in this research is grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Tempel,
Sleman. Sampling technique is the cluster random sampling. Based on the results
of the lottery, established that the class as a class experiment VIIB and VIIC class
as the class of the control. Validity is the validity of the content with expert
judgement. Using the test data collection techniques to write short stories. Its
homogeneity and normality test results show the research data is Gaussian and
homogeneous. The data are subsequently analyzed using t-test.
First, the calculation result test-t score posttest group posttest control
group and experimental yield 3,606 is thitung with db 54 p obtained values of
0.001. The value of p is less than 5% (p < 0.05). The t-test results indicate that
there are significant differences between experimental groups get learning to write
a short story using storyboarding technique and a control group who get learning
to write short stories without using storyboarding technique. Second, the results of
the calculation of the pretest score-t test and experimental groups produce posttest
thitung 13.171 with 27 db retrieved value p 0.000. Pretest and postest control
group acquired thitung 10.115 with db 27 and obtained p 0.000. It shows that the
technique effective Storyboards used in learning to write a short story Class VII
students of SMP Negeri 3 Tempel, Sleman.
