AN ANALYSIS OF THE FAIRYTALES “SCHNEEWEIßCHEN UND ROSENROT” AND “JORINDE UND JORINGEL” IN DIE MÄRCHEN DER BRÜDER GRIMM (STRUCTRURALLY NARRATIVE ANALYSIS BY VLADIMIR PROPP)

Abstract

This study was aimed to describe 1) the functions 2) folktale’s structure scheme, and 3) spheres of actions in folktales Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot and Jorinde und Joringel from the book Die Märchen der Brüder Grimm. Data was taken trough read-note technique. Data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative techniques. The data reliability used were intrarater and interater. The results of this study were  1) the number of the function from Schneeweißchen und  Rosenrot were 15 The the number of the function from Jorinde und Joringel were 19 2) The scheme structure of folktale Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot and Jorinde und Joringel  were divided into 3 parts, which are, the beginning, the middle, and the end. 3) T he function of folktale Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot was distributed into 3 sphere of actions. The functions of sphere of actions in Jorinde und Joringel were distributed into 5 sphere of actions
