EFEKTIVITAS STRATEGI MODELING MELALUI KONSELING KELOMPOK TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL SISWA KELAS VII DI SMP N 1 PIYUNGAN BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas strategi modeling melalui konseling kelompok terhadap peningkatan komunikasi interpersonal siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 1 Piyungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis quasy eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 169 siswa kelas VII, kemudian dipilih 12 siswa yang mempunyai komunikasi interpersonal rendah, setelah itu dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu 6 siswa kelompok eksperimen dan 6 siswa kelompok kontrol. Pengambilan subjek menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan Skala Komunikasi Interpersonal. Uji validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas logis dengan expert judgement, sedangkan uji skala realibilitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach dan diperoleh koefisien reliabilitas skala komunikasi interpersonal sebesar 0,921. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data kuantitatif dengan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa strategi modeling melalui konseling kelompok efektif untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Hal ini terbukti dengan hasil analisis melalui teknik statistik nonparametris uji wilcoxon dengan hasil Z_hitung = 2,234 (Sig > 0,05) > Z_tabel = 1,645 (Sig > 0,05) serta adanya kenaikan skor rata-rata komunikasi interpersonal siswa pada pretest sebesar 76 dan meningkat pada posttest menjadi 104.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of modeling strategies through group counseling to the improvement of interpersonal communication in the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Piyungan. This study uses a quantitative approach research with a model of experimental. The population in this study were as many as 169 students of class VII, then selected 12 students who have low interpersonal communication, after it was divided into 2 groups: 6 students experimental group and a control group of 6 students. Subject retrieval using purposive sampling technique. The research data was obtained using Interpersonal Communication Scale. Test the validity of the instrument using the logical validity with expert judgment, whereas the reliability scale test instrument using Cronbach alpha formula and scale reliability coefficient of 0.921 interpersonal communication. Analysis of the data used is the analysis of quantitative data with the Wilcoxon test. These results indicate that strategy modeling through group counseling is effective to improve interpersonal communication students. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis through statistical techniques parametric Wilcoxon test with a result of 2,234 (Sig> 0.05) > 1,645 (Sig > 0,05) as well as an increase in the average score on the pretest students interpersonal communication by 76 and increased the posttest to 104.
