Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena kurangnya kematangan karier siswa SMK N 6 Yogyakarta yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap kematangan karier siswa kelas XII di SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas XII SMK N 6 Yogyakarta sebanyak 379 orang. Ukuran sampel penelitian sebanyak 182 orang dihitung menggunakan tabel yang dikembangkan Isaach dan Michael dengan tingkat kesalahan 5%, selanjutnya sampel ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa skala efikasi diri dan skala kematangan karier. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kematangan karier. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan korelasi koefisien 0,249 dan taraf signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Nilai R square yang diperoleh adalah 0,062. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat diketahui bahwa efikasi diri mempengaruhi secara positif kematangan karier. Terdapat sumbangan efektif variabel efikasi diri terhadap kematangan karier sebesar 6,2% dan 93,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.

Abstract

This research was based on the lack of career maturity of students in SMKN 6 Yogyakarta to determine the effect of self-efficacy on career maturity of class XII students at SMKN 6 Yogyakarta. The method in this study was a quantitative approach which population was 379 students of SMK N 6 Yogyakarta. The sample of the study are 182 student who was calculated using tables developed by Isaac and Michael with 5% error rate and were determined by simple random sampling technique. Data collection tehnique of this study was self-efficacy scale and career maturity scale. Instrument validity test was held used construct validity with expert judgment test and item analysis using the SPSS for Windows version 23.0 program. Instrument reliability test was calculated by Cronbach Alpha formula, and obtained coefficient value α 0.932 on the self-efficacy scale and 0.947 on the scale of career maturity. Data analysis and hypothesis of this study was tested by Kendall Tau with a significance value of 5%. The results showed that self-efficacy had a positive and significant influence on career maturity. This is indicated by the coefficient correlations 0,249 and significance level of 0,000 (p <0.05). The R square is 0,062 of the data. The conclusion of this study is that self-efficacy have a positively influence career maturity. There is an effective contribution of the variable self-efficacy to career maturity as much as 6,2% and 93,8% was influenced by another factors.
