PENGARUH TEKNIK RELAKSASI DEEP BREATHING TERHADAP PENURUNAN KECEMASAN AKADEMIK SISWA KELAS XI

Abstrak

 

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji teknik relaksasi deep breathing berpengaruh terhadap penurunan kecemasan akademik siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Jetis Bantul. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan desain time series. Sampel penelitian ini adalah beberapa peserta didik kelas XI terdiri dari 8 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan Skala Kecemasan Akademik. Uji validitas instrument menggunakan validitas isi expert judgment dengan hasil uji coba diperoleh koefisien 0,4227 sedangkan uji skala reliabilitas instrument menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbach dan diperoleh koefisien 0,872. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil ini ditunjukkan dengan analisis data deskriptif, siswa mengalami penurunan skor kecemasan akademik dari 1 sampai 17 poin setelah pemberian treatment. Skor rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah pemberian treatment 65,38 menjadi 58,75 yang dapat dikatakan bahwa teknik relaksasi deep breathing dapat berpengaruh dalam penurunan kecemasan akademik siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Jetis Bantul.

 

ABSTRACT

 

The purpose of this study was to test the deep breathing relaxation technique that has an effect on the decrease in academic anxiety in class XI students of SMAN 1 Jetis Bantul. This type of research uses a type of experimental quasi research with time series design. The sample of this study were some students of class XI consisting of 8 people who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The research data was obtained using the Academic Anxiety Scale. Test the validity of the instrument using the validity of the contents of expert judgment with the results of the test obtained coefficient 0.4227 while the instrument reliability scale test using the Alpha Cronbach formula and obtained a coefficient of 0.872. Data analysis techniques used descriptive statistical techniques. These results are indicated by descriptive data analysis, students experience a decrease in academic anxiety scores from 1 to 17 points after treatment. The average score before and after giving treatment 65.38 to 58.75 which can be said that deep breathing relaxation technique can influence the decrease in academic anxiety of students of class XI of SMAN 1 Jetis Bantul.
