PENGARUH METODE GROUP INVESTIGATION BERBANTUAN BUKU SAKU TERHADAP KOMPETENSI DASAR DESAIN SISWA DI SMKN 3 KLATEN

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kompetensi dasar desain siswa sebelum
menggunakan metode group investigation berbantuan buku saku, 2) kompetensi dasar desain siswa
setelah menggunakan metode group investigation berbantuan buku saku, 3) pengaruh group
investigation berbantuan buku saku terhadap kompetensi dasar desain. Jenis penelitian ini adalah preexperimental

dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini menggunakan
validitas isi dan reliabilitas inter rater. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) kompetensi dasar desain
siswa sebelum menggunakan metode group investigation berbantuan buku saku yaitu 80% dari 35
siswa belum mencapai KKM, sedangkan 20% mencapai KKM; 2) kompetensi dasar desain siswa
setelah mengunakan metode group investigation berbantuan buku saku  yaitu 86% dari 35 siswa
mencapai KKM, sedangkan 14% belum mencapai KKM;  3) terdapat pengaruh metode group
investigation berbantuan buku saku terhadap kompetensi dasar desain. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut
disimpulkan bahwa metode group investigation berbantuan buku saku berpengaruh positif terhadap
kompetensi dasar desain siswa di SMKN 3 Klaten.

THE EFFECT OF THE GROUP INVESTIGATION METHOD WITH POCKETBOOK ON THE
COMPETENCY IN BASICS OF DESIGN AMONG STUDENTS OF SMKN 3 KLATEN
 
ABSTRACT
 
       This study aimed to find out: 1) the students’ competency in the subject of basics of design before
using the group investigation method with pocketbook, 2) their competency in the subject of basics of
design after using the group investigation method with pocketbook, and 3) the effect of the group
investigation method with pocketbook on the competency in the subject of basics of design. This was a
pre-experimental study using the one group pretest-posttest research design. This research was using
content validity and inter-rater reliability. The results of the study showed that: 1) the competency in
basics of design before using the group investigation and pocket book, 80% of 35 students did not
attain the minimum mastery criterion (MMC) while 20% of them attained it; 2) the competency in
basics of design after using the group investigation method with pocket book, 86% of them attain the
MMC, while14% of them did not attained it; and 3) there was an effect of using the group
investigation method with pocket book on the competency in basics of design. Based on the results, it
could be concluded that the group investigation method with pocket book had a positive effect on the
competency in basics of design among  students of SMKN 3 Klaten.
