PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED INSTRUCTION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR KERJA MESIN DASAR SMK PIRI SLEMAN

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar Kerja Mesin Dasar melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas pada siswa kelas X M SMK PIRI Sleman yang berjumlah 25 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar pada siklus I dan siklus II. Persentase peningkatan partisipasi sebesar 23,6%, sedangkan peningkatan prestasi belajar ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan nilai rata-rata dan peningkatan persentase siswa yang memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimum sebesar 36% atau sebanyak 9 siswa dari 25 siswa.
This research aims to determine the improvement of participation and learning achievement on the Basic Of Operating Machine course after applying the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) learning method. This research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research method in X M class in PIRI Vocational High School, Sleman. Data collected by observation sheets and test. The results showed that there were an improvement of participation and learning achievement on the first cycle and the second cycle. Improvement participation percentage is 23.6%, while the learning achievement improvement indicated by the average classscore improvement and improvement of students number who meet the minimum exhaustiveness criteria which is 36% or 9 students of 25 students.
