MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SMK BERBASIS PONDOK PESANTREN SYUBBANUL WATHON MAGELANG DITINJAU DARI LATAR BELAKANG SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa di SMK Syubbanul wathon Magelang ditinjau dari: (1) perbedaan lulusan, (2) penetapan waktu belajar, (3) ekonomi orang tua, dan (4) tingkat kelas di pondok pesantren.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparasi dengan pendekatan expost facto. Sampel berjumlah 248 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik probability sampling pada tabel Isaac dan Michael pada tingkat kesalahan minimal 1%. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket,dokumentasi,dan wawancara. Analisis data dengan analisis deksriptif dan chi-square.Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) Siswa lulusan MTs memiliki motivasi belajar tinggi dari SMP. (2) Perbedaan motivasi belajar ditinjau dari penetapan waktu belajar tidak signifikan. (3) Siswa dari orang tua berpendapatan rendah memiliki rata-rata motivasi lebih tinggi dengan 49,6%. (4) Tingkat Amtsilati memiliki motivasi paling tinggi. Setiap siswa memiliki tingkat motivasi yang berbeda dilihat dari latar belakangnya, sehingga perlu diberikan treatment yang berbeda pula.

Abstract
The research aims to knows determine the differences in the student’slearning motivation at SMK Syubbanul Wathon Magelang in terms of: (1) the differences of graduated students, (2) study time period, (3) parents’ socio-economic background, and (5) the grade levels in the Islamic boarding school.This research is a comparison study usingEx Post Facto Approach. Total sample are 248 studentswho were determined by probability sampling techniques of Isaac and Michael Table in the minimum error rate of 1%. The data were collected by using questionnaires, documentations, and interviews. The data analyse were performed byusing descriptive analysis and chi-square.The results of the research revealed that: (1) The students who graduated from MTs had higher learning motivationthan those who graduated from SMP. (3) The difference in the learning motivation in terms of study time period was not significant. (4) The students from low-income parents had higher motivation with the percentage of 49.6%. (5) The Amtsilati grade level students had the highest motivation level compared tothe others. Each student had different levels of motivation seen from the background so they should be given different treatment depending on the background of each student.
