THE MORAL OF ERICH KÄSTNER “DAS FLIEGENDE KLASSENZIMMER”

Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe the moral of Erich Kästner “Das fliegende Klassenzimmer”. This research uses an objective approach by utilizing the theory of structural Marquaβ. Data sources obtained from Erich Kästner’s book “Das fliegende Klassenzimmer”. This published by Cecilie Dressler Verlag in 2002. The data were collected through reading and note-taking. The data analysis occupied descriptive qualitative technique. The validity of the data was obtained through the semantic validity and expert judgement. The reliability of the data was attained through the intrarater and interrater reliability. The results of this research show that the moral message is shown by the figure. Pesan moral meliputi lima, yaitu (1) honesty of heart of compassion to the elderly and to fellow, (2) availability is responsible for make an already burning diktat book, (3) moral independence in the Act expressly oust students Tertia from gymnastics room because the action was done according to his beliefs, (4) moral courage is done firmly and articulately, told primed to stop playing piano and courage against the rules out building without permission to visit the sick, (5) the humility of the nature not boasting of cleverness and sincere attitude to help fellow with no strings attached.
