THE MAIN CHARACTER CONFLICT IN ROMAN DAS ERSTE MAL UND IMMER WIEDER BY LISA MOOS : STRUCTURALISM STUDY

Abstract


This research aims to describe: (1) main factor protagonist became a prostitute, (2) conflict of main character, (3) resolve of main character’s conflict, which is stated in Das Erste Mal und immer wieder. The data source of this research is the novel Das Erste Mal und immer wieder by Lisa Moos which published in 2005 in Berlin by Schwarzkopf Verlag. The data obtained for this research using reading-noting technique. Analysis technique used in this research is qualitative descriptive technique with structural approach. The data validity obtained with semantik validity and consulted to expert judgements. Reliability technique used in this research is intraeater and interarter. This research resulted the following, (1) the main factor of main character became a prostitute is due Lisa’s father passed away, Lisa was raped by Opa Hans, Lisa’s mother is exposed to cancer and Lisa met Marianne. (2) Internal conflict of the main character includes sense of loss, sadness, loneliness, fear, wrath, torment, and anxious. Meanwhile, the sxternal conflict of ther main character includes diffiicult to adapt in new environtment, her mother exposed to cancer that made Lisa has to work while attend school, and Lisa was pregnant by Marco’s raping. (3) To resolve her conflict, the main character often stay home and do home task, works to fulfill finance, and to abort her baby from the raping.
