THE RESPONSES OF THE ACADEMIC READERS TOWARD BERTOLT BRECHT’S “DER GUTE MENSCH VON SEZUAN” AN AESTHETIC EXPERIMENTAL STUDY

Abstract


This study aimed to describe the academic reader response to Drama von Der Gute mensch Sezuan works of Bertolt Brecht. The response in the form of (1) General, (2) Special Rate based on the criteria, and (3) the relevant criteria in the rationalization of academic readers to the drama. This study focuses on the viewpoint of the reader. The respondents were the students' academic readers German Language Education Programs totaling 31 students who attend classes litelatur II 2012/2013 academic year. data results with Alpha  Cornbach formula worth rxx = 0.724, which means reliable. The research found an overall assessment worth "Good" with a value of 5.00. Specific criteria showed no category values are very high or very low, the characterization is the highest around 3.23. the relevant criteria in the rationalization of the general assessment of the academic reader of this drama is a social condition (0.355), attractiveness (0,392), the decision of scenes (0,384), to be understood (0.259), and Technical V-effect (0,211). The value is the highest value in rationalizing public votes than any other criteria.
