THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE IMAGES MEDIA IN THE TEACHING OF GERMAN WRITING SKILLS OF STUDENTS AT SMA NEGERI 2 WATES KULONPROGO
Abstract
The objective of this study is to determine, (1) the difference in the German language writing skills learning achievement between students XI SMA 2 Wates that taught using pictures media and using conventional media, (2) the effectiveness of pictures media in the German language writing skills learning of students XI SMA N 2 Wates. This study was quasi experimental. The population of this study were students XI IPS SMA N 2 Wates, total number of 128 students. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with XI IPS 1 as experimental class and XI IPS 2 as control class. Data obtained through pre- and post- test. There are 2 variable in this study, that were pictures media as independent variabel (X) and German language writing skills as dependent variabel (Y). The validity test using content validity and constructional validity. The reliability coefficient was 0,805. Data analyzed using t-test. The results showed that tcount (at 4,091) was greater than ttable (at 2,021), at the level significant a=0,05 and the weight of effectiveness at 8,9%. It can be concluded that (1) there is a significant difference between students German language writing skills learning achievement that taught using pictures media and using conventional media (2) the using of pictures media is more effective in the German language writing skils learning.
