EFFORT TO IMPROVE SPEAKING SKILLS OF LEARNERS IN CLASS XI SMA N 3 KEDIRI THE JIGSAW TECHNIQUE
Abstract
This study aims to improve the skills of the German language learners speak in class XI SMA 3 Kediri with the jigsaw technique. This study is a class action or Class Action Research. Action research was conducted in two cycles at each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of this study indicate that the use of jigsaw techniques can improve German language speaking skills and attitudes positive eleventh grade students of SMAN 3 Kediri. It can be seen from the test results of students speaking skills with an average value of 73.82 in the first cycle increased to 81.18 in the second cycle. Attitudes of learners towards learning German in the first cycle fairly classified as category, after the implementation of the second cycle of learners attitudes turn into either category. Active learners towards learning German in the first cycle was included in the medium category with an average of 50 %, after the implementation of the second cycle turned into a high category with an average of more than 75 %.
Thus, the German speaking skills XI students of SMAN 3 Kediri has improved in terms of both process and outcome after a given action using jigsaw technique.
