THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE MAKE A MATCH TECHNIQUE IN THE TEACHING OF THE GERMAN READING SKILL AMONG STUDENT OF GRADE X SMA NEGERI 1 WONOSARI

Abstract


This research aimed to find (1) the different the teaching of German among the students of grade X in SMA N 1 Wonosari between those who are tought by Make a Match technique and those by conventional technique, (2) the effectiveness the use of Make a Match technique in teaching of German reading skill among the students of grade X in SMA N 1 Wonosari. This research is a quasi-experiment. The data were collected through a pretest and a posttest. The data were analyzed by means of the t-test. The result showed tobtained = 3,421> ttable = 2,009 at a significance level α = 0,05 and the effectiveness weight was 9,6%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the Make a Match technique is more effective of German reading skills.
