THE RELIGIOUSITY DIMENSION IN “DER ARME UND DER REICHE” IN BRÜDER GRIMM ‘KINDER- UND HAUSMÄRCHEN’ AND “DER KÖNIG IM BADE” IN LUDWIG BECHSTEIN ‘DEUTSCHES MÄRCHENBUCH

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the religiousity dimensions in “Der Arme und Der Reiche” in Brüder Grimm ‘Kinder- und Hausmärchen’ and “Der König im Bade” in Ludwig Bechstein ‘Deutsches Märchenbuch’ The data source was “Der Arme und Der Reiche”, by Brüder Grimm, and “Der König im Bade”, by Ludwig Bechstein. The data were collected by employing the techniques of reading and note-taking. The data analyses occupied descriptive qualitativ technique. The validity of the data was obtained through semantic validity and expert judgement. The reliability of the data was attained through intrarater and interrater reliability. The research showed that dimensions in fairytale “Der Arme und Der Reiche” had two dimensions; (1) the experiental dimension, (2) consequential dimensions. In “Der König im Bade” by Ludwig Bechstein had three dimensions; (1) The ideological dimension, (2) intellectual dimension, and (3) experiental dimension.
